Balance your Second Chakra

Our second chakra houses our emotional, sensual, creative, and sexual well-being. This chakra is located below the belly button and governs our ability to enjoy your physical experience through desire, sexuality, sensuality, feeling, and pleasure. The second chakra vibrates energetically to the color orange.
The second chakra is activated to inform us though the world of sense and feeling. It awakens our appetites, whether for gratification, or emotional and creative expression. It also drives our desires as well as our creativity. Its focus is, “I feel.”
This chakra, when healthy, creates zeal, enthusiasm, and passion for life. When strong it allows us to celebrate life, and the good things it has to offer on the earthly plane. This includes connecting with others, togetherness; good food, good wine, good song, good sex, good laughs, and good times. When healthy it expresses humor, candor, mirth, and spontaneity. It is the chakra of romance, the gateway to the heart, and through the sensual zone we are seduced into learning to love.
If your second chakra is deficient your love for life is absent. You avoid, control, or ignore your feelings, or even worse disconnect from your feelings altogether. You live in your head, instead of allowing your feelings to guide you, you try to think your way through everything.
Some of the most common symptoms of a deficient second chakra are anorexia, bulimia, addiction, sexual dysfunction, and emotional depression. All of these conditions reflect to some degree an attempt to repress or control our sensual nature, throwing our emotional and physical systems into chaos and confusion. When we reject, repress, deny or ignore any of our feelings or sensations for an extended period of time we enter into a state of dysfunction that is no less disabling to us than if we were to reject our hands or our feet. Our ability to have a complete and satisfying human experience is crippled when we block our feelings and our bodies.
Everything in your life-your clothing, your personal grooming, even your home — should reflect a healthy second chakra. Our atmosphere has such a strong impact on us that it actually can affect our health. Whenever we are in an environment that is cozy and warm and sensual, our body responds leaving us feeling grateful and energized. But when we are in an unloved, ugly, dissonant environment, we become irritable and anxious; and drained. Keep the atmosphere and attitude in your life as calm and beautiful as possible.
To Balance your second Chakra:
- Float in a pool of water.
- Take a dancing class
- Open up your sensual touch by touching different tactile textures.
- Do something that pushes you beyond your comfort zone.
- Take a shower, feeling the warm water cleansing refreshing you.
- Put flowers around your home.
- Get a manicure and a pedicure.
- Eat different foods
AFFIRMATIONS FOR THE SECOND CHAKRA
- I feel the waves of pleasure and surrender with every breath I take.
- As the cleansing waters of light move thru me, my body responds with a sense of joy and peace.
- My thoughts, desires, and emotions flow harmoniously.
- Obstacles move beyond resistance as I connect with the movement of universal flow.

- My creative flow is magnificent and Divinely expressed.
